This purse is made from a lovely selection of summer colors with silk fabrics and silk ribbon embroidery.
The pattern I used is my Climbing Wisteria purse pattern. It is a simple shape that can be used to showcase your creative talents.
The tambour embroidered light yellow silk fabric that I used in the center sections of the purse came from my friend Betty Micheels. The deep pink dupioni silk on the side sections was left over from another project.
The pieced seams are embellished with 4mm silk ribbon embroidery using silk and cotton threads for detail stitches. These stitches are embellished with seed beads, buttons and novelty leaf shaped beads. The strap is made from braided rayon cords, and the closure is a Mother of Pearl button with a china transfer.
Happy Stitching! Christen
